Vic: Denis to dye his hair blue
MELBOURNE, Feb 15 AAP - Dyed-in-the-wool Liberal Denis Napthine has pledged to colourhis hair blue for charity.
The Victorian Opposition Leader promised on Ballarat radio yesterday to dye his hairblue if the station raised $5,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation.
He received word today that the challenge had been met.
Celebrity hairdresser Edward Beale and hair-care company Schwarzkopf chipped in $2,000each, and a mystery donor came up with the rest.
A spokesman for Dr Napthine said the opposition leader was ready to keep his end of the bargain.
"They raised the money, and we're in the process now of organising it," the spokesman told AAP.
"He's happy to do it for the Leukaemia Foundation."
