German market sees sales of implant to treat lung disease.(PRODUCTS)

Rox Medical Inc, based in San Clemente, California, USA, is commencing commercial sales in Germany of its Rox Co2upler device for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

COPD is a group of lung diseases. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two main diagnoses that make up COPD, but in all cases damage to airways eventually interferes with the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide within the lungs.

The implant is being sold in conjunction with a Phase IV registry for patients with COPD. The aim is to capture physician and patient experiences in an effort to expand the understanding of clinical outcomes associated with the procedure. …
