New debtor-friendly collection tool

Delamere Business Systems has announced the launch of its new Web Access Portal, which allows debtors to access their accounts directly via the Internet, enabling them to:

* make payments using a debit or credit card

* establish payment arrangements

* request and view online statements of account

* request or schedule a contact

* notify the client of changes in the debtors' details

The portal's software features user-definable 'style sheets' to enable users to create their own look and feel based on corporate branding, a 'frequently asked questions' section and 'links' buttons. The portal can be easily integrated into an existing website. If a customer does not yet have a site, Delamere can also provide web development services.

Spencer Taylor, Managing Director of Delamere Business Systems Ltd, said: "It is a well known fact that many people who get into debt difficulties feel too embarrassed to discuss their situation with a collector, and as a consequence they avoid contact and their obligations. Providing direct access to their account via the Internet not only helps to overcome that problem, it also saves money, as the debtors using the portal do not take up a collector's time."

Delamere Business Systems also offers a transactional pricing model, with no initial capital outlay for the portal. The transaction costs are linked to usage. A transition plan to a traditional fixed licence fee and annual support model when it becomes more cost effective is also provided.
